Bulgaria’s biggest winter resort – Bansko offers excellent conditions for ski touring. That exciting snow activity has become widely known during the past years as it allows you to ski both on and off-piste and makes you more independent from using ski lifts. What makes the touring skis unique is that with them you can both ski downhill and go… uphill! Skiing downhill is similar to alpine skiing, and special ‘skins’ that prevent you from sliding backwards are attached to the bottom of the ski for climbing.

Ski & Board Traventuria Bansko offers different models of touring skis for rent. Our gear is manufactured by top brands such as Völkl and Dynastar. To guarantee a high-quality experience we renew ⅓ of the ski pairs with new ones every season.

If you have never tried ski touring before and you are curious about it, select our VIP upgrade when booking your ski package. It will allow you to swap between different ski models (including touring skis) every day! Skiing downhill with touring skis is similar to alpine skiing, so previous experience is not mandatory if you do ski. Climbing is more difficult to master and requires good physical condition. Our friendly staff will give you a short instruction on how to attach the skins during the equipment fitting.

What do I need to bring?

Ski pants and Jacket, water, gloves, sunscreen, goggles. Bringing an additional t-shirt is recommended.
