Alberobello + Matera Self Guided Tour

Alberobello in Apulia and Matera in Basilicata are two picturesque towns in southern Italy. You'll discover all their charm on this self-guided tour of the southern part of the country.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Piazza Eroi del Mare, 98 ft (30 m) from Bari's Chamber of Commerce and start touring the south of Italy by minibus.

First, we'll drive through the landscapes of Apulia. An hour later, we'll arrive in Alberobello, where you'll have 3 hours of free time to visit its iconic trulli, which were declared a World Heritage Site in 1996.

The Siamesi and Sovrano trulli and the neighborhoods of Rione Aia Piccola and Rione dei Monti are main attractions in Alberobello. Additional visits are recommended to the church of San Antonio di Padua and the Basilica of San Cosimo and San Damiano.

After your free time, we'll meet to proceed to Basilicata. At 1:30 pm, we'll arrive in Matera, named the European Capital of Culture in 2019.

You’ll have another 4 hours for lunch and a stroll among the famous Sassi of Matera, recognized for their cave houses. Scenes from the 007 film No Time to Die were filmed here.

We'll return to the meeting point, arriving 10-11 hours after pickup.
