History and adventure will come together in a tropical jungle on this day trip to Altun Ha and Caves Branch. Explore an ancient Mayan city and tube down a river.

Day Trip Details

After picking you up from the designated point, we'll leave Belize City to explore the archeological site of Altun Ha. Upon arrival, we will visit this significant Mayan city, providing insights into the Prehispanic period.

We'll examine the ruins of the pyramids and discuss the history of this settlement, which dates back to the 3rd century.

After visiting Altun Ha, we'll pause for 45 minutes at a local restaurant for a Belizean lunch. Following lunch, we'll head to Caves Branch, a river flowing through a complex of limestone caves

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 45-minute jungle hike to reach the river's starting point, where we will board the tubes to tube down the river to the caves. After this 1.5-hour journey, you will visit the caves to see unique rock formations.

At the end of this 7-hour trip, we'll drop you off at your hotel.
