Dracula's Castle & Peles Castle Day Trip from Bucharest

Delve deep into the mountain landscapes of Transylvania and Wallachia on this full-day trip from Bucharest. Explore Bran, known as Dracula's Castle, and the Peles palace-castle.

Day Trip Details

After pickup from your meeting point or hotel in Bucharest, we'll travel north through the forests of Transylvania.

Our first stop is in Sinaia, where we'll visit the Peles Castle, used by the Romanian royal family as their summer residence. You'll tour the decorated halls from the end of the 19th century.

Next, we'll visit the historic city of Bra?ov, learning about its monuments along the way. You'll have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the city center or have lunch.

After lunch, we’ll visit Bran Castle, where you'll receive tips for exploring. Learn about Vlad III "the Impaler," the figure who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, as you discover how he became a symbol of Transylvania.

After exploring Bran's Castle, we’ll return to Bucharest, enjoying scenic views from the vehicle.

Admission Tickets

Tickets are not included in the tour price; purchase them in advance, especially on weekends and public holidays.

Book tickets at least 7 days in advance, but no earlier than 30 days before your visit. Last-minute bookings may limit availability for Peles Castle; consider visiting Peli?or Castle instead if necessary.

Choose a time slot for Peles Castle between 9 am and 11 am.Choose a time slot for Bran Castle between 12 pm and 3 pm.

Itinerary Changes

Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On those days, you'll view the fortress from the outside and visit a medieval torture exhibition in Bran.

The itinerary is subject to change due to traffic and seasonal events. Expect long lines during peak season.

Peles Castle may close for maintenance in November to December 2026; visit Peli?or Castle instead, and enjoy time on the Peles Castle grounds.
