6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

In Casablanca and looking to explore Morocco's most charming spots? On this 6-day tour of the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Merzouga, we'll visit Meknes, Rabat, Fez, Volubilis, and the desert, before ending our route in Marrakesh. You'll love it!

Tour Details

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

At 12 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca, or at the city's airport. We'll visit the Hassan II Mosque and the Casablanca Medina before heading to Rabat to check in at the hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we'll tour Rabat visiting key sites. Next, we'll travel to Meknes to explore its souqs and Al-Hadim Square. We'll visit the ruins of Volubilis and conclude our day in Fez for the night.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, we'll explore historic sites such as the Marinid Tombs and Jewish Quarter Mellah. A stroll through the vibrant Medina will complete our visit, returning to the hotel in Fez for the night.

Day 4: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll traverse the cedar forests of Azrou and reach the Ziz Valley. We will take a camel ride in the Merzouga desert and spend the night in traditional haimas.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges & Dades Valley

We will witness the sunrise over the Merzouga desert, followed by breakfast. We'll then visit the Todgha Gorges, before heading to our hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will drive along the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate and visit Ait-Ben-Haddou. We will conclude our tour in Marrakesh, arriving at 6:30 pm.

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation with breakfast in double rooms at three-star hotels and campsites including:

Rabat (3 stars): Hôtel des Oudaïas or similar.Fez (3 stars): Riad Dar Skalli or similar.Merzouga: standard or luxury haimas campsites.Dades Valley (3 stars): Auberge Panorama or similar.

Pickup & End Points

This tour begins in Casablanca, with pick-up options available at the airport, hotel, or a central location. The tour concludes in Marrakesh, with options to remain in the city or transfer to the airport.

Itinerary Adjustments

Meknes is currently closed due to renovation works. Additionally, the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is currently closed, but external photography will be possible.
