6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

In Casablanca and looking to explore Morocco's most charming spots? On this 6-day tour of the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Merzouga, we'll visit Meknes, Rabat, Fez, Volubilis, and the desert, before ending our route in Marrakesh.

Tour Details

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

At 12 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca or at the airport. We'll visit the Hassan II Mosque and explore the Casablanca Medina before heading to Rabat to check into the hotel for the night.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we'll tour Rabat, including the Royal Palace and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, then travel to Meknes for the souqs and Al-Hadim Square. Our next destination is Volubilis before arriving in Fez for the night.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, we will explore Fez, visiting the Marinid Tombs and Jewish Quarter Mellah. We'll stroll through the Medina and return to our hotel in Fez for the night.

Day 4: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we'll travel through the cedar forests of Azrou and the Ziz Valley. We will go on a camel ride in Merzouga desert before settling into haimas at a campsite.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges & Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise, we'll have breakfast and travel through the Todgha Gorges before resting in the hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we'll drive along the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate and visit Ait-Ben-Haddou. We aim to reach Marrakesh by 6:30 pm, concluding the tour.

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation with breakfast in double rooms at:

Rabat (3 stars): Hôtel des Oudaïas, Hotel Malak, Hotel Annakhil, Riad Meftaha, or similar.Fez (3 stars): Riad Dar Skalli, Riad Letchina, Riad Dar Marhaba, Riad Ghita, Hotel Across, or similar.Merzouga: standard or luxury haimas (depending on selection).Dades Valley (3 stars): Auberge Panorama, Kasbah Tizzarouine, Hotel Babylon, or similar.

Pickup & End Points

This tour begins in Casablanca with pickup options at the airport, hotel, or a central location. We end in Marrakesh, where you can choose to stay or be taken to the airport.

Itinerary Adjustments

Meknes is currently closed due to renovations. The Taourirt Kasbah is also closed; however, exterior photos are still permitted.
