Castelmezzano & Pietrapertosa Private Tour

At your chosen time, we'll meet in Piazza Emilio Caizzo in Castelmezzano. From here, you'll set off and follow the guide's vehicle through the villages of the Lucanian Dolomites, accompanied by incredible views of the mountains.

Our private tour will begin in the medieval streets of Castelmezzano. We'll walk up and down its steep stairs to see the unique sandstone-roofed houses.

Next, we'll head to Pietrapertosa. There, we'll visit the Church of San Giacomo Maggiore, decorated with 17th and 18th-century frescoes. We'll also observe the remains of the Arabata, an ancient Arab settlement.

The tour includes a visit to Pietrapertosa Castle, a Roman fortress from the Norman period in the 9th century, located on a large rock in the Basento Valley. Afterward, you'll have 2 hours of free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

We'll return to the meeting point and conclude the tour 6 to 8 hours after the start. See you next time!
