Join this guided tour of Catania with a wine tasting, exploring the flavors of Sicily in its historic center.
Tour Details
We'll meet at Piazza Duomo to discover the wine and cultural heritage of Catania. The tour begins with a visit to the square’s main landmarks, including the Cathedral of Sant'Agata and the Fontana dell'Elefante.
Next, we head to Pescheria, the old fish market of Catania, where we will taste a glass of wine paired with local delicacies like caponata, olives, cheese, or cold meats.
Afterward, we will visit Castello Ursino to admire its exterior, then proceed to Piazza Mazzini to appreciate its noble buildings and history.
In the final segment, we'll stop along via Crociferi for a second wine tasting with appetizers and a dessert. In total, we'll taste three wines: an Etna Bianco, an Etna Rosso, and a fortified sweet wine.
We'll conclude the tour on via Crociferi after 2.5 hours.
