Pantalica & Sortino Day Trip

A nature reserve, a necropolis, and a picturesque village await you on this day trip to Pantalica and Sortino.

Tour Description

We will pick you up from your hotel at the indicated time to begin this day trip to Pantalica and Sortino. After approximately 1 hour on the road, we will arrive at the Pantalica Nature Reserve, created for the protection of Sicily's native flora and fauna. The reserve features karst cavities, including the Grotta dei Pipistrelli (Bat Cave).

Within the reserve, we will visit the Necropolis of Pantalica, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, containing approximately 5,000 tombs dug into the rock.

Next, we will head to the village of Sortino, where you will have free time for lunch. We will then explore its narrow streets, featuring baroque buildings like the Chiesa madre di San Giovanni apostolo de evangelista, the Chiesa di Santa Sofia, and the Chiesa della Natività.

Sortino also has various museums, including the Casa museo dell’apicoltura tradizionale and the Museo Civico dell'Opera dei Pupi.

After a 1 hour and 30-minute tour of Sortino, we will return to your hotel, completing the trip after a total of 8 hours.
