Teotihuacán Hot Air Balloon Ride

On this hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacán, you'll discover the archaeological ruins of one of Mesoamerica's most important civilisations from the air.

Activity Details

After meeting at your chosen location in Mexico City, we'll travel by minibus to the take-off area for the hot air balloon ride. Upon arrival, we'll witness the balloon inflation while enjoying coffee. We'll then board the basket and begin our flight.

We'll fly over the Teotihuacán Valley and see prominent archaeological sites. The flight lasts between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on weather conditions.

View the Avenue of the Dead, Pyramid of the Moon, Pyramid of the Sun, and Quetzalcoatl Temple. After landing, we'll toast with sparkling wine and enjoy a buffet breakfast at La Higuera restaurant. A certificate of your first balloon flight will be presented.

You’ll have 2 hours of free time to explore the ruins of Teotihuacán. If you opted for the guided tour, an expert in Mexica culture will accompany you.

Additionally, we'll attend a craft workshop focusing on Teotihuacán customs, including the uses of obsidian and agave. You'll learn about the fermentation of aguamiel and silver crafting, concluding with a tasting of pulque, tequila, nopal liqueur, and mezcal.

Finally, we will return by minibus to Mexico City, concluding this 8-hour activity.

Departure From Teotihuacán

If you prefer to visit Teotihuacán independently, you can book the option that includes only the balloon ride. This option requires you to arrive directly at the launch site by 6 am.
