Your adventure begins at 6 am with a pick-up from your accommodation in Medan, followed by a scenic drive to the picturesque village of Parapat, situated on the banks of Lake Toba. Rising early promises rewarding views that are simply breathtaking!

After approximately four hours on the road, we will reach our first stop. Here, we’ll embark on a ferry that will transport us to Samosir Island. During the crossing, revel in the stunning vistas of the surrounding volcanic scenery—a truly magnificent experience!

Upon arrival, we’ll proceed to the village of Tomok, home to the historic tomb of King Sidabutar. This site is recognized as one of the oldest royal burial sites of the Batak culture. While we take in the remarkable architecture, our guide will share insights into the rich heritage of these indigenous peoples of Indonesia.

Our exploration continues as we visit the village of Ambarita, where we'll encounter their communal halls, rice storage buildings, and traditional homes featuring unique stone courtyards.

Following the guided exploration of Samosir Island's villages, you will have an hour to relax and savor refreshments at a local restaurant. Soon after, we’ll hop back onto the boat for our return journey to Parapat.
