Book of Kells & Dublin Castle Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Edmund Burke Statue in Dublin. This tour is essential for history enthusiasts.

We will first visit the Book of Kells, a Celtic manuscript over 1,200 years old, considered a key artifact of medieval illustration. Our guide will explain the “Turning Darkness into Light” exhibition, detailing the book's origins, symbolism, and painting techniques.

Next, we will explore the Old Library at Trinity College, which features the Long Room housing 200,000 historical books, including the “Brian Boru Harp” and an original Declaration of Irish Independence from the 1916 Easter Rising.

We will then proceed to Dublin Castle, originally built in the 13th century. The guided exterior tour includes the castle gardens, Record and Octagonal Towers, as well as the Upper and Lower State Yards. Our guide will share intriguing stories related to the castle's history.

Our final stop is the George’s Street Arcade, an 18th-century shopping area with nearly 50 stores and restaurants, ideal for finding souvenirs. We will also pass the beloved statue of Molly Malone.
