Porto Flavia Mine Guided Tour

On this guided tour of the Porto Flavia mines, you will learn about a notable mining site in southern Sardinia and enjoy views of Masua Beach.

Tour Description

At the meeting time, we will gather at the Porto Cauli Beach car park to begin our journey to the Porto Flavia mine, one of Sardinia's interesting locations.

We will walk along Masua Beach and the historic 1915 pier, located about one kilometre (just over half a mile) from the mining site, before arriving at our destination. Be prepared to explore this unique mining site with Mediterranean views.

Upon entering the main mine shaft, we will have a guided walk lasting about an hour, during which the guide will discuss the mine's impact on the local economy and share facts about its construction.

During the tour, we will climb to a balcony that offers views of the sea and the Sugarloaf Isle (Pan di Zucchero). This location provides a great opportunity for photographs.

After concluding the tour of the Porto Flavia mine, we will return to our starting point and conclude the experience after a duration of 2 and a half hours.
