Heraklion Private Tour
- 3 horas
Explore the capital of Crete with a private tour of Heraklion! Visit the capital's significant monuments with a guide just for you and your friends or family!
Tour Details
At the appointed time, we’ll meet in front of Hari's Creperiê to begin our private tour of Heraklion. Our first stop will be the Church of St. Titus, originally a Byzantine church and later an Ottoman mosque, rebuilt in the mid-19th century as a tribute to the island's patron saint.
You will see the influence of various civilizations in Crete's capital, including Armenians, Greeks, and Arabs. We’ll pass by the Heraklion Loggia and admire the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Minas, one of the largest churches in Greece.
The tour continues through the historic center to marvel at the facade of St. Mark's Basilica and visit Morosini Fountain Square, where you’ll have the chance to taste two local favorites: raki and bougatsa.
Before concluding, we’ll visit Heraklion’s Central Market to browse traditional craft stalls and experience its lively atmosphere. The tour lasts 2.5 hours, after which we’ll return to the starting point to say our goodbyes.
