Coast of Asturias Hike

Discover the beauty of the eastern coast of Asturias on this hiking route from Pendueles, including main attractions like the Cobijeru Complex Natural Monument.

Hike Details

This hiking route begins at the El Rincón de Pin restaurant in Pendueles. The hike takes place in a protected natural landscape, starting with a walk through Pendueles, highlighting its bowling alley, church, and Casa de Indianos.

We will continue along a section of the Camino de Santiago that runs along the eastern coast. The next stop will be the Pendueles Beach Lookout for photo opportunities.

The path continues by the sea until we reach Playa de la Pica. After a stop at this beach, we will proceed to the Cobijeru Complex Natural Monument, known for its karst formations and cliffs.

We will visit the interior beach and an old tide mill, with explanations on its operation.

The final segment includes passing through the town of Buelna to learn about local life and Asturian traditions. At the end of the hike, we will return to Pendueles, completing the activity in approximately 2 hours.
