You can explore both the house and the gardens or just the gardens, as preferred. Inside, you'll have access to several rooms and grand halls. The gardens feature typical English country estate trees such as oak and chestnut, along with unique elements like the Temple of the Four Winds and the Mausoleum. While on the estate, you’ll also have access to the Skelfe Adventure Playground, shops, and cafés. It is recommended to spend between 3 and 4 hours at Castle Howard.

Opening Times

Castle Howard is open every day of the week from 10 am to 5 pm, with the last entry at 3 pm. Please note that it will not be open on July 19, 20 & 21 and October 5, 2024.
