The Path of the Lemons Hike

Join us from Maiori on this hiking route along the Sentiero dei Limoni, or 'The Path of the Lemons'. You'll be surrounded by the aromas of the Mediterranean as you admire the Amalfi Coast.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Corso Reginna in Maiori to start our hiking route along The Path of the Lemons, a panoramic road offering views of the Amalfi Coast.

To begin the route, we'll visit a pastry shop for a typical lemon dessert. Energized, we'll climb to the church of Santa Maria a Mare, dating back to the 12th century, to admire its dome.

Along the way, we'll observe the typical terraces, known as macerine, where lemon trees are cultivated using traditional techniques. The route includes views of Roman ruins amid Mediterranean vegetation like olive trees, vineyards, and pine trees.

After a break for homemade lemonade, we'll continue to the village of Torre, home to the church of San Michele Arcangelo, a key site for lemon production.

Following a brief history of this village, we'll take the path to Minori, where the bell tower of the Basilica of Santa Trofimena is located. The history of her relics is notable.

In front of this church, in Piazza Ettore e Gaetano Cantilena, we'll conclude the activity after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of walking.
