At the appointed time, we will meet at the Castle of Melfi and follow the guide in your own vehicle to visit the area of Mount Vulture, starting in Venosa with its archaeological museum.

In Venosa, we will visit the archaeological museum, which contains remains of the ancient Roman colony of Venusia, founded in 291 B.C. We will explore the streets of this city, seeing the baths and a domus with mosaics. Additionally, the backdrop will feature the abbey of the Holy Trinity, where we will learn about its history.

Next, we will return to Melfi to explore its heritage, including the Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral and the castle of Frederick II, home to the National Archaeological Museum of Melfese, showcasing finds from the Archaic, Classical, and Roman periods.

We will take a break for a meal before our final stop at Lagopesole, a village linked to Frederick II and his son Manfredi, where we will discover historical events and visit its castle.
