El Tigre Waterfalls Hike

On this trip to El Tigre Waterfalls, we will explore Monteverde's wild side with a day full of hiking, horseriding, and ziplining.

When booking, you have two options, both including hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, admission to El Tigre Waterfalls, and lunch. Duration for both is 5 hours. Here are the options:

Hiking & Horseriding

Upon arrival at El Tigre Waterfalls, we will begin a hiking trail along the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The trail includes 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) of hiking, crossing hanging bridges and stopping at 4 waterfalls (15 to 30 metres high) where you can swim in natural pools. After hiking, we will ride horses for the final 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) to the summit for scenic views of volcanoes: Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Tenorio, and Miravalles.

Hiking & Horseriding + Bicycle Zipline

This option includes the same hiking and horse ride as described previously, followed by a visit to El Tigre Waterfalls Bicycle Zipline. After gearing up, we will ride a bicycle along zipline cables at a height of 70 metres (230 feet) over a 500-metre (0.3-mile) course, offering views of the forest and waterfalls.

Hotel Pickup

Hotel pickup is provided for those staying in the centre of Monteverde and Santa Elena.
