Naples National Archaeological Museum Private Tour
At 10 am, we will meet outside the National Archaeological Museum, a significant institution in Naples. Accompanied by a guide, we will enter this 16th-century building to explore its extensive collection of artifacts.
The tour will last for one and a half hours, covering various rooms over four floors. We will begin with the Farnese collection, showcasing many sculptures of the ancient Roman Empire, notable for their preservation. Discussions will include the civilization's beliefs and intriguing facts about the artworks.
Next, we will visit the rooms dedicated to Pompeii and Herculaneum. A large collection of mosaics, papyrus, and everyday utensils will illustrate life in these cities before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
The museum also displays vases, jewelry, coins, and artifacts from ancient Greece and ancient Egypt.
After spending between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours on this historical journey, we will conclude our guided tour. Participants may then remain in the museum for independent exploration.
