Why Visit the Ensérune Archaeological Site?
The Ensérune archaeological site is a significant destination in the Hérault region of Occitania. Your ticket allows you to explore the remnants of this ancient Gallic settlement, featuring remains of asilo that served as a storage facility for grains. Additionally, it includes entry to the Ensérune Archaeological Museum, which showcases seven centuries of history from the settlement, highlighting influences from Celts, Iberians, Greeks, Etruscans, and Romans. The museum features models and 3-D reconstructions of archaeological remains and a room recreating the workspace of archaeologist Felix Mouret, who excavated the site in 1916. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views from the site, which extend from the Cévennes to the Pyrenees and across the Languedoc plain to the Mediterranean coast.

The Ensérune archaeological site is open:
April to September: Daily, except Mondays (excluding Monday holidays), from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pmOctober to March: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:45 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm
Last admission is one hour before closing. On December 24 and 31, closing time is at 4 pm. Schedules may vary.
