Visit to Casa Nepeta Distillery

On this visit to the Casa Nepeta Distillery, you'll engage in a tasting of herbal spirits and can choose between a truffle hunting or botanical printing workshop.

Tour Options

During booking, choose between the following options. Both start at Casa Nepeta, a 15-minute drive from Noto, and last between 2.5 to 3 hours:

Distillery Visit + Botanical Printing

Upon arrival at Casa Nepeta, you will participate in a 2-hour botanical printing workshop. You will gather leaves and plants from the estate for creating artwork. Instructions will be provided on using a chalcography press and manual contact printing techniques, enabling you to produce a small fabric tapestry or a work on paper, taking home multiple prints.

Next, you will explore the organic aromatic herb fields, learning about plants like lesser calamint, marjoram, and thyme, which are used in the distillation process. The experience concludes with a tasting of herbal spirits.

Distillery Visit + Truffle Hunting

This option includes a truffle hunting experience in the woods near Casa Nepeta, searching for bianchetto truffles and black truffles with a truffle expert and dogs for 2 hours. Collected truffles can be purchased.

After the hunt, a tasting of local herbal spirits will follow, with options to try a frozen Nepeta Spritz or local products with shaved truffles. The experience concludes with a visit to the aromatic herb fields.
