On this night tour of Gion, we'll discover the historic geisha district of Kyoto as night falls.
Description
At the designated time, we will meet at the corner of Kawaramachi Garden, in front of the big clock, to start our night tour of Gion. This area features typical Japanese lanterns, and we will explore their cultural significance.
We will walk through the district's busy and hidden streets, including the preserved historic Hanamikoji Street. The tour will provide the opportunity to see traditional wooden houses illuminated by soft lights, as well as landmarks such as Yasaka Shrine.
On the route, we will encounter maiko and geikos, apprentice geishas, while appreciating the symbolism and colors of their attire.
The tour will conclude at Sanj? ?hashi Bridge after 3 hours.
