Pisciotta Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Via Borgo to begin a guided tour of Pisciotta. Ready to explore a medieval village?
From Piazza Pinto, we'll walk into the historic center until we reach the Palazzo Marchesale, birthplace of Bishop Luigi Pappacoda, a key figure in promoting the Leccese Baroque style in the 17th century.
Next, we'll visit two noble chapels and Pisciotta's Chiesa Madre, dating back to the 16th century, which houses important relics and frescoes from the 18th century Naples. Our guide will share insights about the Cilento uprisings of 1840 and discuss the historical significance of the town.
In the final part of the tour, we'll stop at a local craft workshop for an explanation of the craft process and participate in a small tasting of local products.
After some free time for shopping, this informative hour-and-a-half walking tour will conclude.
