After being picked up from your hotel, you will enjoy a scenic 110km coach ride through the verdant countryside to Hoa Lu, with a short break en-route

Located near Ninh Binh city, Hoa Lu is the site of a 10th-century capital of an ancient Vietnamese Kingdom called Dai Co Viet. The Kingdom was enclosed by a citadel. The citadel and the Yen Ngua limestone hills provided good defense for this kingdom against the invaders.

You have a chance to enjoy the landscape in one of the most famous provinces in the North of Vietnam. Visiting Hoa Lu you will have the opportunity to explore the mausoleum, and temples worshiping the King of Vietnam - the Dinh Tien Hoang Temple (King Dinh temple) and Le Hoan Temple (King Le Temple).

Afterward, enjoy a tasty lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon head towards the Trang An Grottoes, an outstanding natural beauty of majestic limestone massif at 20 square kilometers that rise dramatically out from rice paddy fields. Deep into the linked chains of towering mountains are pristine places of mystical valleys, numerous freshwater ponds, and jungles.

Embark on a traditional sampan gently rowed down the exquisite river through numerous caves: Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, Thanh Truot Cave, and Cao Sơn Temple, Suoi Tien Temple, Vu Lam Temple. On arrival at Mua Cave, you will start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa Long mountain which will give you spectacular views over the rice valley.
