Glowworm Kayaking Tour

Experience a glowworm kayaking tour in Rotorua. This tour includes exploration of small caves inhabited by glowworms and stargazing.

Glowworm Caves Kayaking Adventure

At the designated time, meet at the Rotorua Information Centre. A shuttle will transport participants past the iconic Redwood forest to the lake shore base.

Upon arrival, participants will be equipped and receive a safety talk and basic kayak instructions before heading onto the water.

Participants will begin by exploring the shoreline as evening falls. After dark, the guide will lead into small hidden caves filled with glowworms that illuminate the dark with blue and white lights.

On clear nights, the experience includes the possibility of viewing the Milky Way in the night sky. Enjoy calm waters beneath a starry sky in total darkness.

The kayaking activity lasts approximately 1 hour, with the entire experience, including transfers, lasting around 3 hours.
