Arco del Coronadero Hiking
At 9:15 am, we'll meet at Avenida de la Unión Europea in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. From here, we'll set off on a 7 km trekking route through the deep ravines of southern Gran Canaria, heading towards the Arco del Coronadero.
The hike will take us along the paths of the Amurga Massif, where we will see various cacti and the ruins of pre-Hispanic settlements. Information about the island's indigenous inhabitants will be shared as we walk past ancient caves and temples.
We will cross desert landscapes and walk alongside the steep stone walls of the Barranco Hondo, reaching the Arco del Coronadero, a significant natural rock formation. We will learn about its origins and have opportunities for photography.
After exploring the natural arch, we will return, concluding our hike at 2 pm back at the starting point in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
