Kandy Private Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Sigiriya at 7 am. We'll board the vehicle and drive 90 kilometers south to Kandy, a journey of about two and a half hours.

Throughout the day, we'll explore Kandy, the second most important city in Sri Lanka and a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Key locations include the Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya, which features over 4,000 species of plants, the artificial lake of Kandy that stretches more than 3 kilometers, the statue of Bahirawakanda Vihara, and a silk factory.

No visit to Kandy would be complete without stopping by Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists worldwide. The guide will share its fascinating history during the tour.

During the excursion, the guide will also recommend the best restaurants in town for lunch and local cuisine. Kandy is known for having some of the finest pastry shops in Sri Lanka, and tasting their sweets is highly recommended.

At the end of the excursion, we will return to Sigiriya and drop you back at your hotel at 7 pm.
