Kandy Private Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Sigiriya at 7 am. We'll drive 90 kilometers south to Kandy, approximately two and a half hours away.

During the day, we'll explore the second most important city in Sri Lanka and a significant place for Buddhist pilgrimage. We'll visit the Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya with over 4,000 species of plants, the artificial lake of Kandy which extends more than 3 kilometers, the statue of Bahirawakanda Vihara, and a silk factory.

A visit to Kandy would not be complete without stopping at Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. Learn about its history during the tour.

The guide will also recommend the best restaurants in town for lunch, allowing you to experience local cuisine. Kandy is known for having excellent pastry shops, making it essential to try their sweets.

At the end of the excursion, we will return to Sigiriya and drop you off at your hotel by 7 pm.
