Day Trip to the Tingana Ecological Reserve + Canoe Ride

On this day trip to the Tingana Ecological Reserve, you'll discover the wonders of ecotourism in the San Martín region, including a canoe ride through a unique wetland ecosystem.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tarapoto to travel to Moyobamba. After a 3-hour journey, we will reach the port and board a motorised canoe that will take us to the Tingana Ecological Reserve's entrance.

Upon arrival at Tingana, we will have a traditional regional breakfast in a lush environment. After breakfast, we will embark on a motorised canoe ride through the flooded forest of the Avisado River, observing various animal species amidst the palm and banyan trees, which provide habitats for local wildlife.

After 3 hours of exploration in Tingana, we will stop for a typical regional lunch using locally sourced ingredients. Following lunch, you will have 2.5 hours of free time to explore the reserve and look for amphibian species in the jungle.

Finally, we will begin our journey back to Tarapoto and conclude the day with goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 15 hours.
