Minho River Boat Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the fishing wharf in Tui to board a traditional wooden boat and set sail down the Minho River. This river separates Spain from Portugal.
From the boat, we'll see the landscapes of Tui and the Santa Maria Cathedral, dating back to the 12th century.
We'll sail under the Tui International Bridge, also known as "Friendship Bridge" in Portugal, which connects the two countries. On the Portuguese side lies the town of Valença do Minho, where we will view a fortress that has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times, preserving Gothic and Baroque architectural details.
As we continue along the river, we'll learn about the flora and fauna in Minho. The riverbed's minerals support diverse ecosystems, allowing various natural habitats to flourish on both sides of the river.
After 45 minutes, we'll conclude the experience back at the dock.
