Pickup from your hotel is scheduled for 8:30 am. The first stop will be the Sultan's Palace in Yogyakarta, home to nearly 30,000 inhabitants. After visiting, we'll stroll the streets to see the iconic Water Castle.

Next, we will depart for Kotagede with a pleasant half-hour drive. Upon arrival at this ancient Javanese village, we'll explore the picturesque streets using traditional becak transportation.

Our becak ride will take us around the market, followed by a visit to a batik and silver factory. We will also visit the Royal Cemetery and the ancient Mosque, key heritage sites of the Kingdom of Mataram Islam, learning about Kotagede's historical significance as its capital.

A visit to the home of a Javanese family will include a traditional home-made lunch. The tour concludes with our return to Yogyakarta, dropping you off at your accommodation by 4 pm.
