Semarang Trip

Take this trip to Semarang from Yogyakarta and discover the temples and buildings of this city on Java. You will also visit the famous rainbow village.

Semarang Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at 7 am and board a private vehicle to Semarang. After a three and a half hour drive, we will arrive at this city on the north coast of Java.

We will start a guided tour of Semarang to see essential places, such as the Bledung church, where you will learn about the first Catholic church in the city.

The next stop is Lawang Sewu, the thousand-door building, where you will hear the story of this structure built by the Dutch in the early 1900s. After the tour, you will have one hour of free time to have lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

The tour continues with the Chinese Sam Po Kong temple, which welcomes visitors of any religion.

Finally, we will visit Kampung Pelangi, or rainbow village, a neighborhood that painted its houses in bright colors to improve its image.

The tour concludes after a little more than six hours at the location you indicated when making the reservation.

When you book, you can choose to end the tour at Semarang Airport, at a Semarang hotel of your choice, or return to Yogyakarta.
