Our first destination will be the Church of the Forgotten Christ. In 1986, this site became renowned for an extraordinary phenomenon when the crucifix of Jesus began to bleed inexplicably. Here, we will delve into the history of this remarkable event that led to its moniker, the Church of the Miraculous Crucified Christ.
Next, we will visit the Cerro de las Brujas, the valley's namesake. Surrounded by a veil of legends, this enigmatic location has been said to be a gathering place for witches in times gone by. You will discover the practices and stories that surround this intriguing site.
As we traverse the valley, you will encounter remnants of colonial history, including the Hacienda Ingenio and the Church of San Miguel Arcángel, established by Franciscan monks on a mission to evangelize the local populace.
