Workshop on Cheese & Yoghurt in Puerto Inca
Our adventure begins by gathering at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas, setting the stage for this exceptional culinary journey.
Your first stop will be a charming family dairy in Puerto Inca, where the cows providing our fresh milk are taken care of. Upon arrival, you will be introduced to the various methods of cow care and milking procedures.
Following the milking session, a lunch break will be taken. Soon after, we will participate in a masterclass focusing on techniques for preserving milk and its derivatives, paving the way for our next engaging activity. You will get the chance to process the fresh milk we have collected and craft cheese and yoghurt using traditional methods, all without packaged ingredients, additives, or chemicals.
Once the dairy products are packed, we will allow time for them to set before bringing home the fresh cheese we crafted. Along with mastering the cheese-making process, you will also uncover the secrets behind creating a delectable cured cheese and even learn how to produce cottage cheese from the leftover whey, enabling you to replicate these techniques at home!
The workshop will wrap up at 6 pm, concluding a day of rich culinary experiences.
