Mayantuyacu River Day Trip
At 5:30 am, we'll meet at the Hospedaje Los Incas in Puerto Inca to take the bus to the Mayantuyacu River, known as the Boiling River.
After a five-hour drive, we will board a boat to sail the turquoise waters of the Mayantuyacu River, which can reach temperatures of up to 93ºC (194ºF). We will hear mystical stories about this river, considered a sacred place by indigenous people due to its healing properties and as a crucial water source.
Next, we will dock to visit the Mayantuyacu indigenous community and meet their shaman, who will share ancestral rituals with us. At 12:30 pm, we will enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the villagers. Following lunch, we will take a walk along the riverbanks to learn about the boiling waters of the Mayantuyacu River.
We will conclude our trip by returning to Puerto Inca, arriving at around 7 pm.
