At 5:30 am, we'll meet at the Hospedaje Los Incas in Puerto Inca to take the bus to the Mayantuyacu River, known as the Boiling River.
After a five-hour drive, we'll switch to a boat to sail on the turquoise waters of the Mayantuyacu River, which can reach temperatures up to 93ºC (194ºF). We'll learn about the mystical stories surrounding this Peruvian river, considered a sacred place by the indigenous people due to its healing powers and water supply.
Next, we'll dock at one of the riverbanks to visit the Mayantuyacu indigenous community and meet their shaman, who will share insights on ancestral rituals.
At 12:30 pm, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the villagers. After lunch, we'll walk along the riverbanks to discover the reasons behind the boiling waters of the Mayantuyacu River.
