Ayahuasca, known as "the medicine of the soul", has been utilized for purification of the spirit for centuries. Experience this healing ritual with an Amazonian shaman during a retreat.
Puerto Inca Ayahuasca Ceremony
Day 1
Participants will gather at Hospedaje Los Incas. The day starts with a walk through Puerto Inca to learn about local customs. A light dinner at 6 pm precedes the ceremony. Ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic drink, has therapeutic properties used in sacred rituals by Indigenous Peoples for spirit purification and psychological blockage removal. At 7 pm, the shaman will introduce the experience, allowing questions and observing ceremony preparation. The ritual includes chants to Pachamama, tasting ayahuasca, and mapachos until the ceremony concludes at 2 am.
Day 2
The physical and emotional effects of ayahuasca vary. Participants choose from two itineraries based on their morning feelings:
Option 1: After breakfast, participants will learn about the medicinal use of Amazonian plants. Lunch will be followed by dinner and rest at the lodge.Option 2: After breakfast, participants will visit Pintuyacu creek for a swim, with lunch and then dinner and rest at the lodge.
Day 3
On the final day, participants will join the shaman in searching for medicinal plants. After lunch, a relaxing period will precede the second ayahuasca ceremony at 7 pm for further introspection.
Day 4
On the last day, participants will have breakfast and conclude the retreat with a sense of spiritual connection.
One night ceremony
The one-night ayahuasca ceremony is available from 7 pm to 2 am, excluding accommodation and meals.
Accommodation
The 4-day ceremony includes 3 nights of accommodation with full board at Hospedaje Los Incas.
Important
No dairy, caffeine, or sugar 48 hours before the ceremony.No narcotics or psychiatric drugs 48 hours before the ceremony.Avoid alcohol for 3 days prior.Avoid pork and fried foods during the week prior.
