Ayahuasca, referred to as "the medicine of the soul", has been utilized for centuries to cleanse the spirit. For those seeking a connection with their inner selves through this ancient healing ritual, this ayahuasca ceremony facilitated by an Amazonian shaman offers a unique opportunity.

Puerto Inca Ayahuasca Ceremony

Day 1

We will convene at Hospedaje Los Incas, the designated location for this spiritual retreat. Our journey begins with a guided walk through Puerto Inca to immerse ourselves in the local community's traditions. At 6 pm, a light dinner will precede the ceremonial activities.

Ayahuasca represents a hallucinogenic beverage traditionally embraced by various Indigenous groups across Peru and other South American countries for its rich therapeutic qualities. Historically, Indigenous Peoples have incorporated it into sacred rituals aimed at healing the spirit and removing psychological barriers, facilitating a profound connection to their inner wisdom.

At 7 pm, the shaman will initiate the experience, providing a platform for inquiries and allowing participants to witness the ceremonial preparations while capturing moments through photography. The ritual will commence with chants honoring Pachamama, followed by an introduction to ayahuasca and mapachos, the hand-rolled cigarettes from Peru. Afterward, there will be a period of silence to embrace the drink's effects, lasting until the ceremony concludes at 2 am.

Day 2

The impacts of ayahuasca can vary widely among individuals. Therefore, the second day will present two itinerary choices tailored to your feelings upon waking.

Option 1: After enjoying breakfast, we will journey into the jungle alongside the shaman to explore the medicinal applications of Amazonian flora. Following this enlightening session, a jungle lunch will be served, after which we will return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.Option 2: Wake up, have breakfast, and make our way to Pintuyacu creek to indulge in a tranquil bath and swim in its crystal-clear waters. Lunch will be served in the wilderness before we head back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3

On the third day, refreshed from our previous experiences, we will rise early to accompany the shaman as he seeks out medicinal plants. This will be followed by a return to the lodge for lunch and some leisure time until 7 pm, when the second ayahuasca ceremony begins. Participants will once again have the chance to explore the altered states of consciousness and introspection that the beverage invokes.

Day 4

By the final day, attendees will feel rejuvenated following this deeply therapeutic journey. After breakfast, we will express our farewells, carrying the enriching experience of spiritual connection achieved during the retreat.
