Traditional Amazonian cooking workshop
This workshop offers participants the opportunity to explore Amazonian gastronomy, characterized by its unique use of fish, fruits, and vegetables from the Peruvian jungle, such as yucca, plantain, and chonta.
We will meet at 8 am at Hospedaje Los Incas to begin our journey. The first stop will be a local farm or plantation to select the best fruits and vegetables for our dishes. Next, we will visit the local market to choose fresh ingredients for cooking.
Upon returning, we will prepare a meal that includes two starters, two main courses, and a dessert. The starters will be either Amazonian ceviche or chonta salad. The main courses can include fish casserole, patarashca, tacacho, or inchicapi. The dessert will be revealed on the day of the activity.
After approximately 2.5 hours of cooking, we will enjoy the dishes we have created, paired with a refreshing fruit drink.
The workshop will conclude after lunch at 3 pm.
