Traditional Amazonian cooking workshop

This workshop allows you to engage in Amazonian gastronomy, which is distinct from other Peruvian culinary traditions. The cuisine is focused on fish, fruits, and vegetables like yucca and plantain.

We will meet at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas to commence our journey. The first stop will be a local farm or plantation to select the best ingredients for our dishes.

Next, we will visit a local market to acquire fresh ingredients. Upon returning, we will apply our chef skills to create two starters, two main courses, and a dessert while learning about the history of Amazonian gastronomy and ingredient properties.

The starters include Amazonian ceviche and chonta or palm heart salad. Participants can choose from options like fish casserole, patarashca, tacacho, and inchicapi for the main courses. The dessert will be a surprise revealed on the day of the workshop.

After approximately 2 and a half hours in the kitchen, we will enjoy the dishes we have prepared, accompanied by a fruit drink.

The workshop will conclude after lunch at 3 pm.
