Trip to the Widow's Cave

We will meet at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas to begin the excursion to the cave and ravine of La Viuda, located 3 miles from Puerto Inca.

First, we will visit the cave of La Viuda, known for its mysterious pre-Inca engravings. Participants will walk through the cave’s vegetation to observe these ancient bas-reliefs.

Following the cave visit, the tour proceeds to the ravine of La Viuda, a natural spa with crystal waters. Here, you will have free time for various activities such as swimming or fishing.

At 12:30 pm, we will gather for lunch, after which there will be free time to explore the Amazon rainforest environment. The day concludes with a return to Puerto Inca, arriving by 4 pm.

To partake in a search for gold in the Viuda cave, you can book this option. Utilizing the bateo method, a pre-Hispanic technique, participants will fill a container with sand and gravel and submerge it in water to find gold nuggets. This activity occurs after the cave visit, followed by lunch with the group.
