Navigate the Pachitea River and learn about the traditions of the Ashaninka people when you visit one of their traditional villages. Immerse yourself in one of Peru's ancient cultures.

Visit to an Ashaninka Community

We will meet at 5:30 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas de Puerto Inca. Here, we will board a boat to travel along the Pachitea River, a tributary of the Ucayali.

For two hours, we will sail along this stretch of the Amazon until we stop on one of its banks to visit an Ashaninka indigenous community. This tribe is part of an Amazonian ethnic group with origins dating back to pre-Columbian times.

In the village, we will learn about the way of life and ancestral customs of this community, and enjoy a typical lunch prepared by the Asháninka. You will have free time to explore the village and learn more about the indigenous people.

At the end of the experience, we will return to Puerto Inca by bus. Arrival is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
