Exploration of an Ashaninka Community
Our journey begins at 5:30 am at Hospedaje Los Incas de Puerto Inca. From this meeting point, we will board a boat for an adventure along the Pachitea River, which flows into the Ucayali River.
As we cruise for two hours on this section of the Amazon, take in the stunning surroundings and flourishing vegetation, pausing at a riverbank where we will disembark to visit an Ashaninka indigenous community. This tribe is part of an Amazonian ethnic group with roots that trace back to before the arrival of Europeans.
Within the village, we will discover the daily lives and traditional practices of the community, and enjoy a traditional meal prepared by the Asháninka people. Afterward, you will have leisure time to wander through the village and uncover fascinating details about the indigenous culture.
Concluding our adventure, we will take a bus back to Puerto Inca, arriving around 5:30 pm.
