In this pachamanca demonstration & tasting in Urubamba, you'll see how to prepare one of the most traditional dishes of Peruvian cuisine. Witness an ancestral rite of the Andean World!
Pachamanca Demonstration & Tasting
The term pachamanca comes from the Quechua language, meaning 'earth pot.' This traditional Peruvian dish will be cooked in this demonstration.
We'll meet at the Tunupa Sacred Valley restaurant in Urubamba at 12 pm, where experts will show us how to prepare an authentic Peruvian pachamanca. The main ingredients are tubers and meat, complemented with a series of sauces and spices made from local products.
All ingredients will be placed in a pot and cooked in a traditional style on heated stones. While it cooks, a refreshing pisco sour will be offered to whet your appetite.
Once the stew is ready, we will taste it along with salads, sharing the pot of pachamanca, and following this ancestral rite of the Andean world.
The activity will conclude at 2 pm.
