Pachamanca Demonstration & Tasting
The term pachamanca originates from the Quechua language, translating to 'earth pot,' reflective of the cooking method used in this demonstration.
We will meet at the Tunupa Sacred Valley restaurant in Urubamba at 12 pm. Experts will guide us in preparing an authentic Peruvian pachamanca, using main ingredients such as tubers and meat, along with sauces and spices made with local products for added flavor.
All ingredients will be placed into a pot and cooked in the traditional manner using heated stones. During cooking, a refreshing pisco sour will be served to enhance your experience.
Upon completion of cooking, we will taste the dish, served with salads. The activity concludes at 2 pm, and participants will share the pot of pachamanca, adhering to this ancestral rite of the Andean world.
