Tour of Royal Hill of Ambohimanga

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Antananarivo at 8:30 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, located 14 miles (23 km) from the capital.

Upon arrival, we will explore Ambohimanga, visiting the citadel and the necropolis. This site holds significant historical and religious importance for Madagascar and symbolizes the Malagasy national identity.

You will learn about this unique archaeological site, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will walk through the Palace of Ambohimanga, one of the 12 sacred hills of Imerina, while discussing its history, including its association with King Andrianaponimerina and the division of the kingdom into four parts.

After the tour of the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, we will return to your hotel, finishing around 12:30 pm.
