Description
The Albi private tour starts at the Tourist Office at the scheduled time.
First, we will visit Sainte Cecile Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will observe its significant Gothic style paintings and art. It is the largest brick cathedral globally, with decorations depicting the Creation, the Last Judgment, and the Resurrection.
Next, we will proceed to the Palais de la Berbie, a 13th-century palace that was once the bishop's residence. It currently hosts the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, dedicated to the post-impressionist painter born in Albi. Visitors can see several of his canvases and explore the gardens of the Palais de la Berbie.
We will then walk through the historic center and along the banks of the Tarn to the Pont Vieux, one of the oldest bridges in France, with its construction beginning in 1040.
The tour concludes 2 hours after the activity begins.
