Albufeira Beginner Scuba Diving

Have you ever wanted to experience the sensation of being submerged in the ocean? This introductory scuba diving session in Albufeira will allow you to discover the thrill of breathing underwater. Once you make your first dive, you'll be eager for more!

Activity Details

At the designated time, we'll gather at the dive center located in the Albufeira Marina. Your diving instructor will begin with a brief theoretical introduction and, after completing a straightforward registration form, we’ll equip ourselves and proceed to a designated safe water area.

Upon arrival at the training pool, you'll be taught how to properly wear your diving gear and practice essential skills designed to boost your confidence for the open-water dive. This includes techniques such as clearing your mask, sharing air via the alternate regulator, and how to communicate effectively underwater.

Following your practice, we’ll head to the harbor and board a boat for a scenic trip along the coast, leading us to the dive site selected for the day. Are you ready? Let's start our diving adventure!

Once we enter the water, we’ll release air from our vests and begin a descent to a maximum depth of 12 meters (39 feet). This is where the excitement truly begins! For approximately 30 minutes, depending on your air usage, we will explore the rich underwater environment of Albufeira and keep an eye out for local marine species. This experience is bound to leave a lasting impression.

When the time is right, as indicated by the gauge, we’ll make our way back to the boat and return to the dive center, concluding a remarkable adventure lasting around three hours and 45 minutes.

After your final dive, it’s essential to wait at least 24 hours before taking a flight or ascending to high-altitude locations.
