Salinas del Gualicho Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up in Las Grutas before heading to Salinas del Gualicho: the second largest depression in Argentina.

Upon arrival at the salt deposits, you will notice their vast dimensions. Located 236 feet below sea level, the salt flats span an area of 166 square miles. During the tour, you will learn about some of the 8000 uses of salt.

The tour includes a visit to the industrial area, where salt crystals are harvested and packed, along with observations of the salt piles, which can accumulate up to 450,000 tons. Following these visits, you will witness a stunning sunset over the Salinas del Gualicho.

As the sunset occurs, a Creole dinner outdoors will be served. The menu features chicken with vegetables, bread, wine, mineral water, coffee, and dessert. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to observe stars with telescopes and other astronomical instruments.

Finally, we will return to Las Grutas, arriving back at the original starting point between 10 pm and midnight, depending on the time of year.
