Discover the Colombian town of Usiacurí, famous for its healing waters and the poet Julio Flórez, on this excursion from Barranquilla. You'll also visit the town of Galapa!

Usiacurí Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Barranquilla at 9 am and head towards the south of the department of Atlántico.

After a half-hour drive, we'll make a stop in the small town of Galapa, where we'll have the opportunity to see how artisans handcraft Barranquilla's Carnival masks.

Next, we'll continue our excursion to Usiacurí, a town nestled among lush hills. Once there, we'll take a guided tour of its historic center, exploring its colorful streets.

During the tour, we'll learn about the poet Julio Flórez, who moved to this area for its medicinal waters. We'll visit the house-museum of the writer, where he died in 1923.

Before leaving, we'll pass by the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and the iraca palm handicraft shops, where you'll have the opportunity to buy souvenirs.

We'll finish the excursion by returning to your hotel in Barranquilla, where you'll be dropped off around 2 pm.
