Sumidero Canyon & Chiapa de Corzo Day Trip

Discover one of Chiapas' most notable natural landmarks on a day trip to Sumidero Canyon from Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The tour includes visits to main viewpoints, a boat tour of the canyon, and an exploration of the colonial city of Chiapa de Corzo.

Day Trip Details

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. We will stop at two or three main viewpoints of the Sumidero Canyon, where you'll enjoy scenic views and receive information from the guide. You'll have time for pictures.

Next, we'll board a boat for a boat tour of the Sumidero Canyon. This tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours, during which we will sail between rock walls that rise about 3280 ft (1000 m). You may see various wildlife, depending on the day.

We'll conclude the boat tour at Chiapa de Corzo, founded in 1528. You will have free time to explore this Pueblo Mágico, visit the malecón, view the Colonial fountain, shop for artisanal crafts, and try local cuisine.

Finally, we will return to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, dropping you off at your hotel after approximately 7 hours.
