The Cathars left many secrets within the walls of Carcassonne. Discover all the myths and legends when you take our private tour.

Private Tour Details

Join us to discover the secrets of the Cathars in southern France. We will meet at the Narbonne Gate of Carcassonne at the chosen time to begin our private tour of one of the best-preserved walled cities in Europe.

During the two-hour tour, we will stroll through the historic center of Carcassonne and learn about its past. You will see an example of medieval defensive architecture with a total of 52 towers built for city protection and surveillance. We will discuss the main enemies of Carcassonne.

Additionally, we will learn about the walls of Carcassonne and the main monuments of the medieval city, including the Basilica of Saint-Nazaire, which features elements of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Its stained glass windows create a unique lighting effect.

Optionally, we can also visit two main attractions: the Condal Castle and the Museum of the Inquisition. The tour will conclude in the old town after two hours.
