Chefchaouen to Akchour: Private 2 or 4 Day Hike

Hike Details

Day 1: Chefchaouen – Azilane

Meet at Hotel Madrid in Chefchaouen to begin the trek. The first day consists of a hiking trail lasting around seven hours with breaks. The trail includes a three-hour section through Talassemtane National Park, stopping for a picnic lunch. The second section continues for four hours, passing through the village of Afeska, ending in Azilane for dinner and overnight at a mountain lodge.

Day 2: Azilane – Akchour – Chefchaouen

After breakfast in Azilane, we trek for five hours to see God's Bridge and the Akchour Waterfalls. A picnic lunch will be provided, and the hike concludes in Akchour at 5:15 pm. A taxi back to Chefchaouen takes about 45 minutes at a cost of approximately 18 USD (22 Euros) for up to four people.

4-Day Route

The first day follows the same route as the two-day trek. On the second day, hike from Azilane to Taourarte for a full 8-hour trek, culminating in a rural lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the third day, we hike from Taourarte to Akchour, another 8-hour journey with lunch amid nature. We will visit the Akchour waterfalls before staying overnight in a mountain lodge in Akchour.

On the fourth day, trek from Akchour to Chefchaouen, a 6-hour trek divided into two segments. We will picnic before returning to Chefchaouen for a guided city tour, concluding the tour at the meeting point at 6 pm.

Accommodation and meals

The trek includes 3 nights of accommodation in mountain lodges:

The stay in the lodges includes dinner and breakfast. Note that 3 lunches are not included; guests should bring picnics.
