Hike Details

Day 1: Chefchaouen – Azilane

Meet at the Hotel Madrid in Chefchaouen. The first day of trekking involves about seven hours of hiking with stops. The initial three-hour section passes through Talassemtane National Park, a designated Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy a picnic before continuing to the final destination of the day, the rural village of Afeska. The day concludes in Azilane with dinner and overnight accommodation in a mountain lodge.

Day 2: Azilane – Akchour – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, trek for five hours towards God's Bridge, a natural rock formation in Talassemtane National Park. Nearby are the Akchour Waterfalls and natural pools. After a picnic lunch, the trek ends at 5:15 pm in Akchour, where a taxi back to Chefchaouen takes about 45 minutes, costing approximately 18 US Dollars (22 Euros) for groups of up to four people.

4-Day Route

For the four-day option, the first day follows the same itinerary as above. The second day involves an eight-hour trek from Azilane to Taourarte, culminating in a dinner and overnight stay at a rural lodge.

The third day features an eight-hour hike from Taourarte to Akchour, including a lunch break. Highlights include the Akchour waterfalls, followed by dinner and accommodation at a mountain lodge in Akchour.

The fourth day includes a six-hour trek from Akchour to Chefchaouen, divided into two segments. A picnic break is included, followed by a guided tour of Chefchaouen's old town, concluding at 6 pm.
