Scotland Outlander Tour

Imposing castles, grand palaces, mythical mansions... Discover a new side of Scotland by exploring the filming locations of the legendary TV series Outlander on this tour from Edinburgh.

Tour Details

We'll meet at 60 High Street and start a day exploring the filming locations of the series Outlander. Departing from the city, we will delve into the Scottish countryside, appreciating the landscapes that inspired the historical show.

The first stop will be Midhope Castle, known as "Lallybroch Castle" in the series. Next, we will visit Doune Castle, recognized as "Castle Leoch", home of the Mackenzie clan, which also featured in Game of Thrones and Monty Python.

Then, we will travel to the Kingdom of Fife. Lunch will be in the Royal Burgh of Culross, which served as the fictional village of Cranesmuir in the series. Afterward, we'll continue to Falkland, representing 1940s Inverness with its preserved buildings.

Our final stop will be Blackness Castle, known as Fort William in Outlander. After a day of exploring these filming locations, we will return to Edinburgh and drop you off at the Edinburgh bus station.

Please note that when Midhope Castle is closed, we will visit Linlithgow Palace from the outside instead, with the rest of the tour unchanged. Midhope Castle will be closed on the following dates:
