Your admission ticket grants you the freedom to wander through the abbey at your leisure. Take in the striking blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles manifested throughout the building, which has evolved since the establishment of the pre-Romanesque church-abbey in the 10th century.

Beyond the historic church, rediscovered in the late 19th century, lies another significant structure known as the "Marveille", which served as the residence for the monks. Within this area, you will discover edifices constructed under the guidance of Robert de Torigni, a 12th-century abbot, along with the cloister and the refectory, where the monks would gather for meals.

Exploring the lower levels of Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey is highly recommended, as they harbor the crypts and the Saint Martin Chapel. Admission Fees

Entry to Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey is complimentary for the following groups:

EU youth aged 18 to 25.All children under 18 years, irrespective of nationality.

Additionally, admission is free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month from January 1 to March 31 and from November 1 to December 31. The third weekend of September also offers free entry.

To receive the complimentary admission mentioned, visitors must proceed to the ticket office on-site and provide an appropriate proof of eligibility for a free ticket.
